Who we are
EffortX Foundation Ltd is an Australian charity registered with the ACNC. We fund in-country partners to deliver relief and education work for disadvantaged communities, and we publish what we pay for.
What we do
We fund the work. Our partners deliver it.
EffortX Foundation Ltd does not run programmes itself. We do not employ field staff, we do not operate schools or kitchens, and we do not deliver aid directly. Every project we fund is delivered by an in-country partner organisation that already works in that community.
That division is deliberate, and it is what makes the rest of this page possible. Because we are not the organisation doing the work, we are in a position to check it. We fund a project, the partner delivers a stage of it, and we verify that stage before the next payment is made.
It also means we are honest about our size. We are a small, new organisation whose value is in choosing partners carefully, checking what they deliver, and publishing the result.
Our partner
Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia
Our in-country partner is Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia, a foundation established under Indonesian law, with its registered office in Bali and its programme work in Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. It delivers the work: it knows the communities, it holds the relationships, and it is accountable locally in a way an Australian charity cannot be.
Our role is to fund that work, to check each stage against what was agreed, and to publish every payment we make.
We should be plain about how close the two organisations are. We are its funding partner, and by its own account we are currently its source of operating funds, under a written agreement in force since 15 July 2026. That agreement also gives us a right of first offer: before it takes a new project to another international donor platform or foreign grant-maker, it offers that project to us first, and if we have not taken it within 30 days it is free to go elsewhere. Its fundraising inside Indonesia, government and multilateral grants, and local in-kind support all sit outside that. The two share no officers: its governing organs are Indonesian and independent of our board, and neither organisation is the agent, employee, joint venturer or partner of the other. We set this out because we also check the work it delivers before we pay for it, and you should be able to weigh that for yourself.

Donations to EffortX Foundation Ltd are not tax-deductible in Australia. If deductibility matters to you, it is worth knowing that before you give rather than after.
Related organisations
The charity and the platform are not the same organisation
Donations are taken through effort.giving, a platform operated by EffortX Labs Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. EffortX Labs is a separate legal entity and is not a charity.
We say so plainly because the names are similar and a donor could reasonably assume otherwise. Giving through that platform means your payment is processed by that company; the charity receiving the donation is EffortX Foundation Ltd, the Australian entity described above.
